The second stage of the reconstruction of Kazan's Central Department Store has been completed.

      The State Construction Supervision Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan issued a conclusion on compliance with the requirements of the project documentation to the developer of the second phase of the reconstruction of Kazan's Central Department Store, during which a five-story 4th block with a total area of 21,279.26 sq. m was constructed, reports the head of the department, Vali Nazmeev. According to the project, the fully completed facility represents a trade and business center. The 1st floor features multifunctional halls, workshops, spaces for master classes, a recording studio, an exhibition and fair area for souvenirs with coworking, kitchen technological spaces, restrooms, and technical rooms. The 2nd and 3rd floors will have workshops, briefing rooms, exhibition and demonstration halls, master class zones, a children's area, a dining area (national food), a multifunctional space for 480 seats, meeting rooms, office spaces, and restrooms, technical rooms. The 4th and 5th floors will house office spaces, meeting rooms, service rooms, and restrooms. The project also includes access roads and passages, parking spaces for employees and visitors' vehicles. Access for people with limited mobility (PLM) to the building and necessary rooms for their visits is also provided. Recall that on April 20, 2026, the State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Tatarstan issued a conclusion on compliance with the requirements of the project documentation to the developer of the first phase of the reconstruction of the Central Department Store building, during which the three-story blocks 1-3 were reconstructed. The developer and technical customer of the facility is the State Institution "Main Investment and Construction Management of the Republic of Tatarstan." The contractor is LLC "Eurostroyholding+." The designer is the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Tatarstan "Main Territorial Design and Survey Scientific Production Firm 'Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt.'"
