The first President and State Advisor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Mintimer Shaimiev, in an interview for the new digital project "25 years of service to Tatarstan," spoke about the history of the creation of "United Russia," its development, and the role of Tatarstan in the formation of the party. On June 15, a presentation of the website "25 years of service to Tatarstan" (er25.tatar) took place in Kazan, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the work of the "United Russia" party in the Republic. One of the key materials of the resource was an exclusive interview with Mintimer Shaimiev, who was at the origins of the party's creation and was among its founders. According to Shaimiev, the decision to create a new political force was made on December 1, 2001, by the leaders of the movements "Unity," "Fatherland," and "All Russia" — Sergey Shoigu, Yuri Luzhkov, and Mintimer Shaimiev himself. "Our goal was simple — to create a strong party with new opportunities and a creative potential capable of promoting reforms and competing with other parties. By that time, each movement had gone through elections, each had its own experience, its own voters, its own strengths. This helped us lay a solid foundation for the new party 'United Russia'," he noted. The first President of Tatarstan also focused on the history of the regional branch of the party. He recalled that its basis was the movement "Tatarstan — a new century," created in 1999 to support the "Fatherland — All Russia" bloc. "Any party is strong not so much by numbers as by attractiveness, influence, and the support of the people, which must be earned. I believe that 'United Russia' has managed to gain the trust of our people because the main feature of the party's activities is its focus on real deeds, on improving the lives of Tatars. People see this and appreciate it," emphasized Shaimiev.

      Speaking about the current stage of the party's development, he noted the continuity of its course and support for the People's Program. "And today, the party's strategy in the format of the People's Program of Russia, which I fully support, is built on the proposals and requests of the residents of our country. It continues the line we defined at the very beginning," declared Mintimer Shaimiev. The website "25 years of service to Tatarstan" was created for the 25th anniversary of the work of the "United Russia" party in the Republic of Tatarstan. The portal features archival materials, key projects, and achievements of the party, as well as exclusive interviews with Mintimer Shaimiev, Farid Mukhametshin, and Rustam Minnikhanov. The presentation was attended by Farid Mukhametshin, Gennady Glushkov, Yuri Kamaltynov, Oleg Morozov, Alexander Terentyev, Maxim Topilin, Alexander Lapin, and Ruslan Shigabudinov.
