In the Republic of Tatarstan, it is planned to significantly increase the level of automation in production by the end of this decade, increasing the number of operating industrial robots by approximately four times compared to current figures.

As reported by RBC, citing a statement from Ivan Kolchin, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, by the end of 2025, more than one thousand four hundred robotic complexes were already in use at enterprises in the region. In the next 3.5 years, the republic plans to quadruple the number of robots employed in the industrial sector. According to the department representative, the automotive industry leaders are actively implementing robotic technologies – PJSC "KAMAZ," the Sollers plant in the special economic zone "Alabuga," and the company "Trax East Rus." In his statement, the official noted that robotization is developing within the framework of the national project "Means of Production and Automation," as well as through state support measures for industrial enterprises. Kolchin emphasized that Tatarstan also has its own technological companies capable of meeting part of the demand for robotic solutions, in particular, the company "Eidos Robotics." Moreover, the republic places a serious emphasis on staffing the industry: specialized specialists are trained at Innopolis University, Kazan Federal University, KAI KSTU, and Alabuga Polytechnic. It is worth noting that earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Digital Development of Tatarstan, Bulat Gabdrakhmanov, pointed out that the global market for industrial robots continues to grow, and its key problem remains the acute shortage of qualified personnel. It was previously reported that fortune-telling, selling goods, riding scooters, and begging will be banned in the Kazan metro.
