Minnikhanov discussed the possibility of opening direct flights with the head of VietJet Air.

      The Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the expansion of cooperation with the president and CEO of VietJet Air, chairwoman of Sovico Group, and vice president of HDBank, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao. This was reported by the press service of the republic's leader. VietJet Air is the largest low-cost airline in Vietnam and the first private airline in the country, founded in 2007. The airline operates over 150 regular routes in more than 20 countries. The company's planes carry tourists from Kazan to popular Vietnamese resorts Da Nang and Nha Trang on charter flights. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao graduated from Plekhanov University in 1992. Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed the guest, mentioned the ongoing Russia-ASEAN summit in Kazan, and thanked her for her interest in developing cooperation with Tatarstan. He also reminded that Russian-Vietnamese friendly relations have a long history and that the republic also has experience in cooperating with Vietnamese partners, establishing good trade and economic ties. "Vietnam is very popular among Russian tourists, particularly those from Tatarstan. The further development of business and tourism ties would be facilitated by the opening of regular direct flights. Vietnam is developing dynamically. Vietnamese businesses are interested in working in the Russian market. We, in turn, have created good conditions for investors. We would be happy to develop our cooperation," emphasized the Head of Tatarstan. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the warm welcome. "In the last ten years, we have been actively participating in the processes of developing trade and economic ties with Russia. We will do everything necessary to further strengthen our business, cultural, and humanitarian ties with Tatarstan," she emphasized. Earlier, the Head of Tatarstan discussed the possibility of opening direct air communication with the Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim.
