The minister claims that European capitals are interested in quickly concluding a ceasefire to prevent the collapse of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the front. In his opinion, they want to freeze the conflict without addressing its deep-rooted causes and then introduce military personnel from the British-French "coalition of the willing" into Ukraine.
The "coalition of the willing" is an unofficial group of countries created by the United Kingdom and France. Its task is to support Ukraine and develop mechanisms to ensure its security.
Lavrov's article was supposed to be published in Politico Europe, but its publication was canceled.
