The priority fields for budget admission in the republic remain pedagogy, computer science, electrical and thermal energy, chemical technologies, and mechanical engineering. In total, there are 9,000 places. Foreign students are actively pursuing paid education.

      "Foreign students, like me, come to Russia and Kazan mainly because we know how much attention is paid to youth here and the quality of education," shared applicant Kamilla Israilova from Uzbekistan.

      Kamilla Israilova will continue her studies in the master's program at KFU in psychology and is already planning her employment. As it turns out, this is one of society's requests.

      "We face problems that arise for children in early development, children with special needs, and we also provide assistance and support to soldiers returning from the special military operation," noted Narine Putulyan, responsible for the admission campaign at the Institute of Psychology and Education at KFU.

      Most universities also have special programs with subsequent employment. They are materially and technically supported by leading enterprises — future employers of graduates.

      "We hold meetings with industry representatives to submit proposals so that employers can respond in a timely manner, allowing applicants to respond to these offers. Some offer academic scholarships — that's the minimum, while others offer very good relocation packages. There are good offers," reported Alexander Bibik, the responsible secretary of the KFU admissions committee.

      First and foremost, applicants are attracted by enterprises in Tatarstan. Under current conditions, upon graduation, they are ready to hire and offer salaries significantly above the market rate.

      "I want to study information technology, it's a more promising specialty, with a wider range of professions, but I am also considering technical specialties, as I have an inclination towards them," noted applicant Bogdan Ulyanov.

      The universities of the republic are improving their educational programs and actively modernizing their technical base to meet the challenges of the times and satisfy the needs of the economy.

      "Aerospace engineering, helicopter engineering, engine manufacturing, unmanned technologies, mechatronics, robotics, as well as advanced courses in laser and additive technologies," reported acting vice-rector for educational activities and youth policy at KNIITU-KAI, Venera Khammatova.

      In Tatarstan, applicants can choose from 45 state and 17 private universities. The leaders in the number of budget places are KFU, KNIITU-KHTI, and KNIITU-KAI. The main part of the admission campaign will conclude on August 7.
