The Youth Day held in Kazan gathered more than 50,000 guests.
In the capital of Tatarstan, at the extreme park "URAM," a festival was held on June 27 to celebrate Youth Day. More than 50,000 guests attended, according to the event organizers. "First of all, I want to congratulate all the youth of Tatarstan on Youth Day! Today, more than a million young people live in our republic – proactive, talented, and caring. It is precisely thanks to their energy, ideas, and active civic stance that Tatarstan is developing and reaching new heights. For over 30 years, we have consistently implemented youth policy, and as a result of last year, the republic was recognized as the best region in Russia in this area," said the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov. "We closely monitor the requests of young people and continuously improve support measures: from employment and internships to grants, housing programs, and opportunities for self-realization. Our task is for every young person to know about the existing opportunities and to be able to realize their potential right here, in Tatarstan," he assured. This time, the celebration was organized around eight areas: career, educational, sports, medical, creative, patriotic, and family zones, as well as interactive spaces for youth organizations, partners, and local projects. "It was important for us that Youth Day became not just a big holiday, but a living space of choice. Throughout the day, guests could try their hand at sports, find career opportunities, ask questions to specialists, get acquainted with youth projects, attend lectures by invited speakers, and simply feel part of a large community. 'URAM' once again showed that a youth platform can be a point of attraction for a wide variety of people – students, young professionals, families, volunteers, athletes, creative teams, and those who are just looking for their direction," commented the event coordinator for Youth Day in Kazan and director of the extreme park, Maria Kryukova. One of the key themes of the festival was career. The Kazan team and the "Work of Russia" employment center of Tatarstan were present, showcasing relevant job vacancies for youth, and participants could communicate with employers and learn about professional trajectories in various fields. The results of the "Employers of Kazan: Youth's Choice" competition were also announced. A particular interest was sparked by the talk show "Work Gossip" – stand-up comedian Samvel Ginyovyan, along with employers and job seekers, discussed the most popular myths about professions. The audience laughed, debated, and actively participated in the discussion – it was clear that the topic was relevant for every listener. The sports program of Youth Day brought together about 550 participants from 24 cities and 16 regions of Russia. Competitions and activities were held in BMX, skateboarding, rollerblading, scootering, parkour, workout, breaking, streetball, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, dancing, as well as open training sessions. A separate part of the program included open skateboarding training sessions from pro-riders DC Dmitry Dvoinishnikov and Emin Aliyev, workout and parkour master classes from invited judges, as well as educational workshops and demonstrations from SberSpot ambassadors in scootering, BMX, and rollerblading. The attention of the public was drawn to the arrival of BMX rider Matvey Sharygin, who traveled from Moscow to Kazan by bicycle (BMX), covering over 800 kilometers in five days. He became one of the judges of the BMX competitions along with member of the Tatarstan BMX freestyle team Mikhail Okatiev and coach of "URAM" Anatoly Kirienko. The health area was visited by 3,150 people. For the first time, guests of Youth Day could undergo a comprehensive health check, express HIV testing, and receive consultations from doctors and specialists in various fields. The educational program included federal speakers from the fields of media, business, creative industries, new technologies, and entrepreneurship. Participants of the lectures included Sergey Mezentsev, Tima Fermer, Yasmin Bouali, Lera Veiv, Dmitry Yakovlev, Liza Livada, and Alsu Rakhimova. They discussed with the audience working marketing, artificial intelligence as a tool for visual art, personal business development, sincere content, creativity, and the benefits of an experimental approach in life and work. In total, more than 50 interactive platforms operated at the festival. Attendees played chess, participated in creative workshops, got acquainted with local brands, learned about opportunities available for youth in Tatarstan and Russia as a whole, created souvenirs from recycled plastic, and participated in humorous format events. Within the patriotic direction, participants could go through an obstacle course in the format of the sports show "Youth Power." Participants tested their strength, endurance, reaction speed, and team spirit individually and as part of teams. In the "Family Values" block, two wedding ceremonies took place: Azamat and Dilya Zaripov, Karina Tukmanbetova, and Arseniy Gadelshin began their family life on Youth Day. They were congratulated by the Minister of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, Azat Kadyrov. The program also included an open picnic "NElectory: Family Format," a meeting with the winners of the grant competition for holding wedding celebrations, a master class "Dear Loved Ones" from the "Movement of the First," and family activities on the obstacle course "Youth Power." Additionally, employees of the ANO "Information Resource Center for Volunteering of the Republic of Tatarstan," Timur Saitov and Razaliya Faizullina, who worked at the festival all day and were responsible for the volunteer direction, decided to solidify their relationship through marriage. The interactive program of the festival united youth organizations, city communities, and thematic platforms. Thus, the "Movement of the First" held a solemn ceremony for the issuance of passports, participants of the "Tatarstan – Territory of Opportunities" project taught how to write grants and report on them, and the League of Students of Tatarstan provided consultations on the youth housing competition. Separate activities were prepared by foreign students from Kazan universities: guests could engage in calligraphy in different languages, get acquainted with the Japanese tea ceremony, participate in master classes on creating a red thread and henna painting, and join the dance program with bachata and Latin dances. For the first time after the team update, the Kazan Zoo Botanic Garden presented a platform at Youth Day. Free activities related to plants and caring for nature were prepared for guests: creating terrariums, propagating in cups, and transplanting marigolds. Partner zones from various companies and organizations operated on the territory of Youth Day. Throughout the day, various local artists performed on the music stage. The audience was presented with original music, cover programs, and projects from representatives of the modern music scene of Tatarstan. One of the most massive moments was the joint performance of the song by the group "Lyube" – it was sung by about 30,000 people. A separate event in the music block was the performance of WHOA – a new artist from the art residency "REACTOR." He works with experimental hip-hop mainly in the Tatar language, combining unconventional rhythms, bright visual style, and bold irony. The art residency "REACTOR" also presented a creative platform at the festival with activities from ambassadors: a photo booth with original sketches, a linocut station, collaborative creation of a macrame panel, and a merch capsule "Cultural Handyman" (as part of an industrial fashion show). The culmination of the music program was the performances of Konfuz and the festival headliner L'One. The final concert gathered thousands of guests at the stage and became one of the most discussed events of the day, concluding the Youth Day program in the format of a large urban celebration. Maria Kryukova thanked all the guests, program and general partners, platform teams, artists, speakers, athletes, volunteers, and everyone who was with us that day. According to her, it is precisely thanks to such collaborative work that "URAM" "became a point of attraction for tens of thousands of young people and showed how strong, diverse, and active the youth community of Tatarstan is." Youth Day is held with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Government of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Youth Affairs of Tatarstan, and event partners. General partners are Beeline, Sber, and "Alabuga Polytechnic," with "Vkusno – and Tochka" as a partner. The project is implemented in accordance with the objectives of the national project "Youth and Children" in support of the campaign "Opportunities for Youth 3.0."
