In Nurlat, the Day of Veterans of Combat Operations was widely celebrated (+ photo report)

      Events marking one of the important dates in the country took place at several venues in the city.

      The solemn rally began in the territory of the memorial complex of memory and glory. It traditionally started with the laying of wreaths and flowers. The head of the district, Damir Ishkineev, welcomed those gathered. The military commissioner of the city and district, Zagir Abdullin, congratulated the attendees and announced a moment of silence in memory of the fallen compatriots. The rally continued with awards; by the decree of the President of the Russian Federation, the Order of Courage (posthumously) was awarded to the compatriots who died in the special military operation – Marat Rakhimov, Mikhail Kadyashev, and Nafis Zamalov. The awards were presented to the relatives and close ones of the fighters.

      Among those who attended the event were participants of the special operation on leave. A serviceman with the call sign Kok serves as a squad commander in the 1st Slavic Assault Brigade on the Donetsk front; he noted the importance of this date for the entire country. He is currently on leave due to injury but is always in touch with his comrades. The fighter's chest is adorned with medals and orders, and he has recently been nominated for the title of Hero of Russia.

      An important event within the framework of the celebration of Veterans of Combat Operations Day was the opening of the Autonomous Machines Club. This is another project of the "Everything for Victory Nurlat" fund. Here, fund activists are engaged in the production of robotic platforms, hemostatic turnstiles, restoration and manufacturing of unmanned aerial vehicles, conducting UAV management classes, and more.

      "On Veterans of Combat Operations Day, the opening of our club is a very important event for us. Everything produced here is done at the request of fighters on the front line; all of it goes to the front and helps our compatriots bring closer the victory that will undoubtedly be ours," said the head of the fund, chairman of the Nurlat public organization of war veterans in Afghanistan and other local conflicts, Rishat Safiullin.

      Guests highly appreciated the volunteer activities of the fund, thanking them for their active civic stance.

      The festive events continued in the central park. A solemn rally took place near the monument to internationalist warriors, with a laying of flowers. The rally was opened with a welcoming speech by the head of the district, Damir Ishkineev; the chairman of the Nurlat branch of the Tatarstan republican organization of war veterans in Afghanistan and other local conflicts, Rishat Safiullin, and the military commissioner of the city and district, Zagir Abdullin, also addressed the attendees. An extensive award ceremony also took place here.

      The festive day concluded with a football tournament for the prizes of the Nurlat branch of the Tatarstan republican organization of war veterans in Afghanistan and other local conflicts.
