The Public Chamber of Tatarstan has launched the competition "The Strength of Tatarstan: Labor and Courage."

      In the republic, the acceptance of applications for the republican award in the field of public initiatives has begun. The project competition "The Strength of Tatarstan: Labor and Courage" is organized by the Public Chamber of Tatarstan and aims to identify the most effective practices in the area of patriotic education, strengthening interethnic unity, and preserving the memory of the heroic pages of the region's history. Special attention is given to projects supporting participants of the special military operation and their families, as well as initiatives to immortalize the names of fallen fighters. Public associations officially registered in Tatarstan and initiative groups of citizens permanently residing in the territory of the republic are invited to participate. The competition is held in five thematic areas: — projects dedicated to the history of enterprises that made a decisive contribution to the economic development of the region; — initiatives for studying and popularizing labor dynasties and biographies of outstanding fellow countrymen; — programs to preserve the memory of veterans of the Great Patriotic War, internationalist soldiers, and participants in local conflicts; — projects related to the memory of the heroes of the special military operation, as well as social adaptation and reintegration of returning fighters into peaceful life; — events to organize humanitarian aid for military personnel, their families, and residents of frontline areas, as well as interaction with military units. The competition consists of three stages. The first — municipal — started on June 22 and will last until July 20. At this stage, participants submit their applications to the public councils of districts and cities. Each council has the right to select no more than three projects (one in each nomination) and forward them to the organizers in electronic form by July 20 inclusive. The second, zonal stage is scheduled for August 17–28, 2026. Here, authors of the best initiatives will have to defend their projects in person at six zonal centers of the republic. The final will take place in October — the jury will summarize the results and announce the names of the winners, who will receive well-deserved awards. The competition is designed not only to recognize the best but also to give impetus to new public initiatives that strengthen the connection between generations and civic solidarity.
