      The village of Kadyrovo in the Zainsk district welcomed summer with unusual liveliness. A site for the republican project "Hooray, to the village" was opened here. More than 60 children, who came to spend their holidays with their grandparents from different cities of Tatarstan, became its first participants. The main task of the project "Hooray, to the village" is to organize meaningful leisure for children and teenagers aged 6 to 17, filled with educational and cultural activities. Participation in the project is free. One of the key events of the session was the holding of a mini-Sabantuya. Traditionally, the camp participants walked through the streets of the village to collect gifts for the holiday—a ritual that has existed for centuries in Tatar villages. "Such projects are very much needed. Children come from the city, often speaking only Russian. Here they hear the Tatar language. This helps preserve our language. We, the older generation, are always happy to help and pass on our traditions." The Sabantuya with fun games and competitions caused real delight among the children, as did every day spent in the camp. The project organizers are confident that this format of recreation not only broadens horizons but also contributes to the formation of respect for the native culture, language, and history of their small homeland among the younger generation. "Hooray, to the village" has generated great interest among urban children, unlike the sleepy village cats.
