Filming of the movie "The Fern Flower" ("Abaga chäçäge") by Salavat Yuzeev has begun in Tatarstan. The filming crew broke a plate to mark the start of the filming process. "We are taking on a big project, the film 'The Fern Flower.' We have already filmed for half a day, and everything has turned out very beautifully. A total of 12 filming days are planned. The script is based on the stories of the writer Rkail Zaidulla. The producer of the film is Milyausha Aituganova. The operator is Marat Mudarisov. The film will tell the story of a girl who loses her fiancé. Tragic events occur in the village that threaten her life. A "fool" named Khalil helps the girl overcome difficulties by embarking on a quest for the magical "fern flower" that can save her life. The film is made as part of a program to preserve the cultural identity of the Tatar people.
"This is already the fifth film within the program. We hope that this time it will be a genre unusual for Tatar cinema. There is a lot of drama, there are chases, shootings - a rather tough film in terms of the script," Aituganova told journalists. The film's release is scheduled for 2027.
