Daniya Davletshina was elected a deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the Tatar ASSR of the VIII-XI convocations. From 1979 to 1990, she held the position of secretary of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the Tatar ASSR. With her participation, a number of significant social bills were developed and adopted, and the work of the permanent commissions of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the republic was activated. She paid special attention to increasing the effectiveness of local councils. One of Daniya Davletshina's main achievements was the revival of the women's movement in Tatarstan.
