"Families demonstrated top-notch skills": the best dynasties of Tatarstan were chosen in Kazan.

      The Republican genealogy festival "Echoes of the Ages in Family History – Tarih'ta bez ezlebiz" took place today at the Kamal Theater in Kazan. In the final, representatives from six families from the districts of Tatarstan performed. The families arrived at the competition in national costumes and with large groups of up to 50 people. They presented various national dishes – mead, kvass, cabbage soup, khuple, baursak, crispy pastries, and other treats, as well as their relics, genealogical trees, and photographs at the exhibition. The exhibition was viewed by jury members led by the head of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for Archival Affairs Gulnara Gabdrakhmanova, as well as the honorary guest – acting chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Marat Akhmetov. "The families demonstrated exceptional skill because they are not professional artists or cooks. But they treat us to culinary delights that they prepare themselves. They also brought wonderful costumes that have been preserved for a hundred years. The families conducted extensive research, studying their genealogies, which include up to a thousand individuals. Most importantly, the children know about this. If you do not know your past, you have no future. Our ancestors spoke about this," Gabdrakhmanova told journalists. After the exhibition, the competition participants showcased creative performances to the audience in the hall. "These are families where there are no divorces, people love and respect each other. In such families, many children are born, and it is on such families that we should rely," emphasized Gabdrakhmanova. Marat Akhmetov presented diplomas and awards to the festival winners. "Today's festival will undoubtedly be a wonderful continuation of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Our Country. Today, representatives of different nationalities presented their dynasties and traditions. This further confirms the spiritual wealth of our republic. Tatarstan is a large multinational family," he said.

      Akhmetov noted that such family dynasties make Tatarstan a strong region. He wished everyone success, peace, and harmony.
