      The Kazan Diocese held an event on July 8 in honor of the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity. Priests and parishioners gifted Kazan residents daisies, which are a symbol of the holiday. Residents were also handed brochures with the life stories of the saints honored by the Church, the blessed princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom, who exemplified marital fidelity and loyalty to God.

      Daisies were distributed to Kazan residents at the entrances to the metro stations "Aviastroitel'naya," "Severny Vokzal," "Kremlevskaya," "Ploshchad Gabdully Tukaya," "Gorki," and "Dubravnaya." In the Central Park of Culture and Recreation named after Gorky, visitors were also given live flowers. "For the fifth consecutive year, we are holding this event to tell people about the Christian understanding of family, love, and fidelity, about Saints Peter and Fevronia of Murom, who embodied the main Christian virtues. We express our gratitude to the Executive Committee of Kazan, which assists in organizing this event. Thank you to the clergy and volunteers from the parishes who collected daisies, prepared bouquets, and handed them to the residents of Kazan. All our coordinators and participants donated their time for a good cause. Special thanks go to the volunteers from Kazan Medical University. The guys performed very well. We look forward to collaborating with them in the future," commented the head of the Missionary Department of the Kazan Diocese, priest Alexander Yermolin.
