      The president of the football club "KAMAZ," Nail Magdeev, held a traditional pre-season meeting with the coaching staff and players. The previous championship is behind, and the city and the team are preparing to start a new football story. While in the season before last, "KAMAZ" finished in 11th place, by the end of the 2025/2026 season, they climbed to the fifth spot in the First League standings.

      At the meeting, Nail Magdeev noted the significant progress of football in Naberezhnye Chelny: the team showed a worthy performance – the players, through their hard work and dedication on the field, become role models for the younger generation of athletes. At the same time, the mayor outlined the economic realities in which the club exists. Despite the fact that a significant portion of the city's resources is currently directed towards other priority tasks, the administration continues to fulfill its obligations to the football club.

      "The fifth place for our team is an excellent result, considering the difficulties of today's life. I remind you that a special military operation is underway with all the ensuing consequences. Serious financial resources from the city are going to support five thousand young soldiers defending the interests of our state."

      The head coach of the football club "KAMAZ," Anton Khazov, spoke about the renewal of the current player roster: "We have lost five loaned players. We sold David Karaev. We all understand that selling players is one of the budget items of the club. We accept this and will not create obstacles if the transfer for the player and the club is satisfactory. We could not agree on extending contracts with two more players. The main task was to preserve the core, and I think we have accomplished that. We also welcomed eight newcomers who strengthened all lines except for the goalkeeper position. I will introduce them. Defense: Evgeny Tonevitsky (Chernomorets, Novorossiysk), Roman Tkachuk (Torpedo Miass). Midfield: Ilya Moseychuk (Kuban, Krasnodar) and Alexander Kokotun (Rostov). Attack line: Matvey Shavel (Tver), Ivan Gulko (Orenburg), Maxim Bogdanets (Krasnodar), and the fan favorite Evgeny Voronin, who returned after several years at Ulyanovsk's Volga.

      Evaluating the prospects, Nail Magdeev made it clear that one cannot rest on their laurels. At the end of the meeting, the club president wished the athletes good luck, resilience, and new sports achievements. In the upcoming season, Naberezhnye Chelny's "KAMAZ" must prove that the rise in the standings is a logical result of systematic work, not a random surge.

      On July 12 at 7 PM Moscow time, "KAMAZ" will play the first round match of the PARI First League of Russia against Kostroma's "Spartak." On July 19 at 4 PM, our team will play its first home match of the second round. "KAMAZ" will face a serious opponent – "Pari Nizhny Novgorod."
