Sports week in Zainsk: family starts, volleyball, and Peter's Day

      In the Zainsk district, a busy sports week took place — from family relays in the pool to traditional competitions on Peter's Day. Participants of all ages competed in volleyball, kettlebell sport, arm wrestling, and passed the GTO standards at the Pitrau holiday.

      Family starts at the "Dulkyn-Vlna" pool

      The week began with a bright event at the "Dulkyn-Vlna" swimming pool. On July 6, the "Family Starts" event was held here, dedicated to the Day of Family, Love, and Fidelity. The organizer was coach N.G. Davitashvili. Eight family teams participated in the water competitions: the Kupriyanovs, Ershovs, Islamovs, Gabidullins, Pudovs, Frolovs, Nikogosyans, and Galeevs. Participants eagerly overcame relay stages, supporting each other. The event reminded everyone of the main family values — mutual understanding, unity, and joint active recreation.

      Morning exercise in the park and the "Summer in Tatarstan" project

      On July 7, a morning exercise session titled "Vitality in Every Movement" took place in the R.Sh. Fardiev Park as part of the republican project "Summer in Tatarstan." Instructor Gulnaz Abdullina conducted a warm-up complex of general strengthening exercises aimed at maintaining tone and good well-being.

      Volleyball battles as part of the Spartakiad

      On July 11, a volleyball championship among men's teams was held at the "Start" sports and health complex. The tournament, which took place as part of the "Selametlek" Spartakiad, featured teams from enterprises and rural settlements. Among the factory teams, the branch of JSC "Tatenegro" — Zainsk GRES won. The second place was taken by the team from LLC "TEKHNO" factory from Zainsk. Among the rural settlements, the distribution of places was as follows:

      1st place — Savaleevskoye rural settlement

      2nd place — Svetloozyorskoye rural settlement

      3rd place — Alexandroslobodskoye rural settlement

      The day ended with a friendly match between the city team and the team from rural areas. The representatives of rural settlements won with a score of 2:1.

      Peter's Day: Kuresh, arm wrestling, and kettlebells

      On July 12, as part of the folk holiday Peter's Day, competitions were held in three disciplines. In the national wrestling kuresh ("wall to wall"), 5 teams from three cities competed. The results of the matches were:

      3rd place — the team from Aznakayevo

      GTO at Pitrau: age is no barrier

      As part of the "Summer in Tatarstan" project, a testing area for GTO standards was organized at the Pitrau holiday. Participants performed three exercises for time:

      push-ups from the floor,

      long jump from a standing position with both feet,

      squats with jumps.

      The fastest and most enduring received memorable prizes. Notably, both children and adults participated in the tests — from young to old. The oldest participant of the holiday — an 80-year-old resident of Zainsk — proved that an active lifestyle has no age limits.
