       The Republic of Tatarstan has become one of the Russian regions with the most acute shortage of doctors. The region is particularly lacking in dentists and nurses.

       The Republic of Tatarstan has made it to the list of Russian regions where the personnel shortage in the healthcare system has reached critical levels, forcing medical institutions to operate at their limits. According to "Izvestia," alongside Tatarstan, the most acute shortage of medical personnel has been recorded in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sverdlovsk region, and Krasnodar Krai. The situation is especially tense in dental services: clinics are everywhere seeking dental therapists, nurses, and dental assistants, and these vacancies remain unfilled for months. Most applicants among doctors and junior medical staff are already employed, but they are trying to find more lucrative options in terms of salary and conditions, and many specialists are forced to work in two or three companies simultaneously, which inevitably leads to a high risk of emotional burnout. At the same time, the majority of patients today are seen by therapists, neurologists, surgeons, and ultrasound specialists. According to official data from the Ministry of Health, last year hospitals and clinics across Russia needed approximately 23,000 doctors and over 63,000 mid-level specialists. Recently, it was reported that Tatarstan ranked among the top three regions in Russia for the number of students scoring 100 points on the Unified State Exam (USE). A total of 459 graduates in the republic achieved the maximum result in the exam. According to TASS, 459 individuals in the republic managed to score the maximum 100 points in one or more subjects, which is a significant increase compared to last year's figures.
