Employers in Tatarstan have increased their demand for skills in artificial intelligence by two and a half times. The leaders in these criteria are the fields of marketing, sales, and finance.
In the Republic of Tatarstan, an explosive growth in demand for specialists with skills in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies was recorded in the first half of 2026. As reported by RBC, citing data from the director of hh.ru Volga, Albina Sultanova, local employers published two thousand two hundred job vacancies with corresponding requirements, which is two point seven times higher than the figure for the same period last year and four point three times more than the figures from two years ago. According to estimates from the "Rabota.ru" service, the growth amounted to one hundred seventy-three percent year on year. The share of such vacancies in the total volume of offers in the republic reached two percent. Almost a third of vacancies requiring AI skills are in the fields of marketing, advertising, and PR, another quarter are in sales and customer service, and twenty-two percent are in the IT sector. The most common requirement for using neural networks is from sales managers, designers, programmers, analysts, and SMM managers. Employers expect candidates to be able to automate routine tasks, analyze customer data, generate content using neural networks, and optimize business processes. Experts note that AI competencies are transitioning from being exotic to basic market requirements. It was previously reported that the number of cybercrimes in Tatarstan decreased by forty-three percent in the first six months of this year; however, the damage still exceeded 2 billion rubles.
