      Two monkeys and a parrot were taken from street photographers on Bauman Street in Kazan. This was reported by the administration of the Vakhitovsky and Volga districts of the city. Exotic animals were seized during a raid involving police, employees of the Vakhitovsky and Volga district administrations, the Volga-Kama interregional department of Rosprirodnadzor, and Rosselkhoznadzor for Tatarstan. The inspection was conducted at the request of local residents who complained about the illegal provision of photo services and the illegal keeping of animals. Currently, the monkeys and a 15-year-old parrot are being temporarily housed at the Kazan Zoo. Since the beginning of 2026, a total of 92 administrative protocols have been drawn up in Kazan for the illegal provision of photo services with animals. The total amount of fines imposed is about half a million rubles.
