The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan has placed three defendants in custody in a fraud case involving 49 rubles. According to law enforcement, the heads of the companies LLC "Optics Group" and LLC "Crystal" organized a fraudulent scheme by signing a contract with JSC "Scientific Production Association 'State Institute of Applied Optics'." The contract provided for the supply of electronic components for the production of manufactured goods. "By inflating the cost of the products and shipping uncontracted analogs, they embezzled budget funds allocated for the fulfillment of the state defense order," the statement said.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding large-scale fraud. The three defendants were detained by FSB officers in Moscow and brought to Kazan for prosecution. The Vakhitovsky District Court has chosen a measure of restraint in the form of detention.
