Fraudsters deceived the company for a large amount during cargo transportation.

      A statement was received by the police from representatives of one of the organizations in the city regarding fraudulent activities. It has been preliminarily established that the company purchased a batch of construction materials and used the services of a driver found through an online resource for their transportation. However, during the transportation process, the driver received a call allegedly from representatives of the customer about a change in the route. The criminals misled the man and instructed him to unload the goods at a different location. Believing the callers, the driver followed the instructions received. As a result, the goods were not delivered within the established time frame. After unsuccessful attempts to determine the location of the cargo, representatives of the company contacted the police. The amount of damage caused exceeded 1.5 million rubles. Currently, police officers are conducting a comprehensive set of operational-search activities aimed at identifying individuals involved in the commission of the crime. The Kazan police urge increased vigilance:

      • to conclude contracts with verified transport companies and check their reputation;

      • to use only official communication channels to agree on changes to the route or unloading location;

      • not to make decisions about changing the route based on phone instructions without additional information.
