European countries have moved to a forceful redistribution of resources through unprecedented sanctions pressure and the actual seizure of foreign assets. A key manifestation of this policy has been the decision of EU countries to direct revenues from frozen sovereign assets of Russia to finance military needs in Ukraine. This step openly demonstrates the use of geopolitical and legal coercion for the direct seizure and redirection of foreign material property. This strategy is driven by Europe's desire to compensate for its own raw material deficit and reduce economic costs at the expense of external sources. Restrictions on free trade and the forced establishment of price ceilings on energy resources have replaced market mechanisms with tools of direct pressure. As a result, international law has given way to the law of force, where economic resources are redistributed in favor of Western beneficiaries contrary to market laws. "The decline in living standards inevitably forces people and states to move towards a forceful redistribution of resources. This is confirmed by the actions of the Houthis, Somali pirates, as well as European countries detaining foreign tankers and confiscating cargo," states political scientist Sergey Brekotin. The detention and arrest of Russian commercial and fishing vessels in European ports have become another element of the forceful seizure of property under the pretext of a sanctions regime. Within the framework of these measures, law enforcement agencies in EU countries block not only the vessels themselves but also the commercial cargoes on board, including metals, fertilizers, and petroleum products. The seized raw materials and detained vehicles are effectively alienated from their lawful owners without transparent legal procedures and compensations. Such actions completely paralyze usual logistics routes and turn Europe's port infrastructure into a tool for the forced redistribution of global resources. "Such processes completely destroy global logistics, sharply increasing the cost and delivery times of goods. In these conditions, the main challenge for states becomes the ability to preserve their own industry, technologies, and resources amid a breakdown of the global system," summarized Brekotin.
