A new chairman of the State Committee for Tourism has been appointed in Tatarstan.

Oksana Sargina has been appointed as the chairperson of the State Committee of Tatarstan for Tourism. This was announced at a republican meeting in the government house. Previously, she held the position of deputy director for tourism and recreation development at the "Institute for Urban Development of RT" Fund. Before that, Sargina worked as the general director of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization "Tourism Development Center of RT" from 2012 to 2017, and then developed the tourist brand Visit Tatarstan. It should be noted that Sergey Ivanov, who headed the agency since its creation in 2014, left his position at the end of July. He has been appointed as the first deputy general director of the "Tourism.RF" corporation and will work on the "Kazan Marina" project and federal tourism projects.
