Earlier, Kim Jong Un received congratulatory telegrams from the President of Russia and Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev on the anniversary of Korea's liberation from Japanese occupation. In his response, the North Korean leader expressed gratitude for the warm congratulatory telegram and noted that the history of the liberation of the homeland is marked by the feats of the soldiers of the Red Army, who valiantly fought against common enemies. Kim Jong Un emphasized that Russia and North Korea have created a reliable guarantee for a bright future of bilateral relations and expressed pride in their joint struggle for justice. He also expressed confidence that under Putin's leadership, the army and people of Russia will defend the sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity of the country, and wished the president good health and success in his work.
