The head of Tatarstan and the ambassador of China launched a forum dedicated to bilateral cooperation.

      The IV International Forum "GROWTHS: Russia and China - mutually beneficial cooperation" was solemnly opened today at the "Kazan Expo" venue. The ceremony was attended by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation Zhang Hanhui, the governors of the Amur and Kirov regions, as well as the head of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Russia and delegations from a dozen provinces of China. As Minnikhanov noted, over the past three years, "GROWTHS" has become one of the most significant interregional platforms for Russia and China. Here, officials, businessmen, scientists, educators, and cultural figures meet — and this ecosystem yields real results. "The results of the forum's work are transforming into new investment projects, joint productions, agreements, and educational programs," said the head of the republic. "This year, the program is more packed than ever: we are expecting sessions on artificial intelligence, industrial cooperation, finance, as well as a large-scale exhibition Russia-China Expo and cultural events." This year, special emphasis is placed on healthcare. For the first time within the framework of the forum, a scientific and business symposium "Russia - China: technologies for healthcare" will be held, gathering representatives from ministries, doctors, engineers, and investors. This underscores that the partnership goes far beyond trade — it is about the joint development of high technologies. The head of the republic reminded that last year, the trade turnover between Tatarstan and China reached a record $3.35 billion, and China confidently maintains its position as the main investor in the republic. "Our cooperation strengthens every year, becoming a significant contribution to the overall partnership between the two countries," he emphasized. Today, according to the President, open and constructive dialogue is gaining special value. "It is precisely joint work that allows us to find effective solutions, create new supply chains, implement innovations, and form sustainable growth mechanisms," added Minnikhanov, wishing the participants fruitful work and a comfortable stay in Tatarstan. The forum will last from August 16 to 19. About 10,000 people and more than 200 major companies will participate. The Chinese side is represented by delegations from many regions and administrative units. A total of 70 business sessions are planned across 17 areas — from intergovernmental dialogue and industry to finance, tourism, culture, and education. A special "cross-cultural" zone has also been organized, where participants can immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the mutual penetration of traditions.

      Immediately after the opening, Rustam Minnikhanov, along with honored guests, inspected the exhibition Russia-China Expo. The exhibition, covering an area of 4,000 square meters, will operate throughout the forum. Russian and Chinese companies from the fields of finance, IT, agriculture, industry, education, and medicine have set up their stands.
