The educational program is designed to reveal different facets of art. As part of the project, participants will attend a series of master classes and seminars on the history and theory of music. The program will also include lectures on Russian literature and art, practical painting sessions, as well as thematic film screenings followed by discussions. The "Donbas Express" has arrived in Almetyevsk. Maestro Leonid Lundstrem was born in Kazan into a family of musicians. In his teenage years, he left Tatarstan with his parents. After 60 years, he returned as a mentor for young instrumentalists.
— Since 2022, we have started bringing kids from new old territories. There was silence here, everything was fine. And the kids who were hiding in the basements. Some children did not even know what peaceful life was, — said project leader Leonid Lundstrem.
Leonid Igorevich's workshops officially appeared 12 years ago. The "Donbas Express" became their continuation. The scale of the project this year is impressive. More than 15 regions have joined it. The map of participants covers a vast territory — from the western borders to the eastern edges. Everyone went through casting, and this process did not bypass the Almetyevsk musicians.
— We conducted a selection among the children. Very good kids, it is clear that good work has been established. Not everywhere in our country, where we come, is it like this, — added Leonid Igorevich.
Among those lucky enough to meet the speakers is Adilya Galiavieva. The girl has two sisters. The triplets have been inseparable for all 12 years. The main hobby of the girls is music; they play the violin and piano, sing, and participate in competitions. Adilya learned about the upcoming music express from her mother.
— We submitted an application, and we were accepted, so we are participating in this project. I am looking forward to good emotions, impressions, new friends. And, of course, knowledge, — shared Adilya.
What is in the program?
There are plenty of teachers to learn from. The concert program will be presented by leading educators from world and Russian music institutions. The mentors will also include soloists from the creative workshops. Master classes from such stars for the listeners are a responsible matter. To support the latter, Priest Felix Statevich arrived. He has been traveling with the "Donbas Express" across the country for several years.
— I have children and grandchildren. I care about what they think and how they plan to live, what their values are, — explained Priest Felix Statevich.
The main goal of the educational project is to provide motivation and inspire the development of a professional music career. The festival opened and will conclude with solemn concerts, and the results will be the reporting performances of the participants.
