The Old-Shigaleev School has been named after the former director, veteran of the Great Patriotic War Sergey Kuzmin.

      The school opened its doors after a major capital renovation as part of the United Russia people's program. The Staro-Shigaleevskaya school in the Pestrechinsky district opened its doors after a large-scale capital renovation. In the new academic year, 225 students sat at their desks, and the first bell rang for 31 first-graders. For the children, parents, and teachers, this day became especially significant: the school transformed beyond recognition, becoming more modern, bright, and technically equipped. The director of the educational institution, Yevgeny Galaktionov, called what happened not just an update, but a rebirth. "The school has become modern, comfortable, and bright. All conditions have been created here for children to learn with joy, and for teachers to work with inspiration," he noted. The secretary of the Pestrechinsky local branch of the Party, head of the district, Rais Suleimanov, emphasized that 284 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget for the renovation work. Not only the internal premises were updated, but also the facade, and landscaping of the adjacent territory was carried out. Now the educational institution bears the name of Sergey Nikitich Kuzmin – a native of the village, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, who made a significant contribution to the development of education in the district and was the director of the Staro-Shigaleevskaya school. His children attended the school's opening. "It is very pleasant that the school will rightly bear the name of a person who dreamed, made plans for the future, and aspired for a new large modern school to appear in the village," said the veteran's daughter, Alevtina.

      In total, more than 11,500 children are studying in the schools of the Pestrechinsky district in the new academic year.
