The number of pedestrian fatalities has increased in Tatarstan: drivers are urged to be more attentive.

Along with motorcycle drivers, pedestrians are in a special risk zone, the Republic's State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported today. Their numbers have increased in the statistics of fatalities.       "The use of reflective elements is a simple and effective measure that significantly increases your visibility in conditions of reduced daylight," noted the acting head of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan, Ayrat Samigullin.

      A pedestrian with a glowing jacket or backpack will be seen by the driver four times faster than without reflectors. That’s more than 20 additional seconds to make a decision.
