In the Republic of Tatarstan, the main wave of the admission campaign for institutions of secondary vocational education has been completed. As a result of the campaign, more than 29,000 applications were submitted by applicants. About 17,000 people were admitted to budget places. A significant portion of the students — more than 3,500 people — were enrolled as part of an experiment for admission to colleges based on two OGE exams. In this experiment, 9th-grade graduates take only two mandatory subjects — Russian language and mathematics. After successfully passing, they receive a certificate of basic general education, with which they can enroll in selected secondary vocational education institutions participating in the project. Currently, the admission campaign continues in accordance with the Procedure for Admission to Educational Programs of Secondary Vocational Education, approved by the order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation No. 457. The document regulates the deadlines, rules for submitting documents, and the procedure for enrolling applicants.
