A day after the last “investment” she decided to go to the police.
The woman told law enforcement officers that for 10 days unknown persons had been messaging her in messengers and offering profitable investment of her savings by participating in exchange trading. Not suspecting deception, the 40-year-old victim registered in the crypto platform applications recommended by the perpetrators and transferred 655,000 rubles to her accounts. After that the fraudsters stopped communicating and blocked her access to the crypto platforms.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with this incident under Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, “Fraud.”
