The Zainullin family from Zainsk celebrated a diamond wedding anniversary.

      The spouses met thanks to a single photograph

      Recently Ravia apa and Faiz aby Zaynullin celebrated 60 years of married life. The celebration marking the momentous occasion was held in a warm family circle, attended by children, grandchildren, and relatives. To congratulate the honorees on this landmark event, Regina Kamalova, Deputy Head of the District Executive Committee for Social Affairs, and Gulfiya Valishina, Head of the Civil Registry Office, attended.

      “You are respected people who, through your diligent work, helped build the country’s economy, raised successful children, and are passing on the importance of family values to the younger generation. Please accept sincere words of gratitude on behalf of the leadership of the republic and the district. Be healthy and live long, cherished by your children,” Regina Nikolaevna said to the celebrants, presenting them with a letter of appreciation and a commemorative gift.

      Their story is like a sweet fairy tale. Ravia is from the village of Imyanlebash, Faiz is from Naberezhnye Chelny. Fate brought them together thanks to... a photograph. In the postwar years Ravia worked on a rabbit-breeding farm in the village of Aksarino, and her portrait as a production leader was placed on the district Honor Board. It was there, on the picture of the smiling young woman, that the young Faiz first saw her. That feeling was born and bound their fates for a long 60 years.

      After marrying, they built their life in Nizhnekamsk. Faiz aby devoted himself to work in the forestry service and the greening of the city, pouring his heart into its improvement. Ravia apa worked in a hospital, continuing a family tradition, as the Zaynullins are a well-known medical dynasty in the Zainsk district. Together they raised two wonderful daughters, Venera and Lyutsia, who gave them the joy of being grandparents to three grandsons and one granddaughter.

      Despite living in a large city, their hearts always longed for their native lands.

      “Although we lived in a neighboring city, our Zainsk pulled us back like a magnet in our old age; we live here with pleasure,” Ravia apa shares warmly.

      Her memories span an entire era. She talks about her difficult wartime childhood, about how her mother, working as a seamstress, raised the children alone, and how the kind people of Imyanlebash and Aksarino in the whole village helped them. “All my childhood and youth were spent in my native Aksarino,” Ravia apa begins her story, and her gaze fills with warm memories. “And our life could have been very different. Just before the war my parents lived near Moscow. But when disaster struck and the fascists began bombing our country, my father decided to send the family and my sister with her children back to our homeland, to the rear. You know, I was still in my mother’s womb then, not even born yet... At first we were all taken in at my father’s village — Imyanlebash. The local residents gave us an empty house, and it was within its walls that I was born. Mother often recalled how the villagers would not let us perish and supported us.

      Then my grandfather invited us to Aksarino. Those war years were, of course, very hard, but we children always felt under a reliable wing. And all because our mother did not know fatigue — she worked as a seamstress for the whole village. Her hands and kind heart mended and warmed not only us but many fellow villagers. That is how her labor saved our family.”

      It is symbolic that on the day of the diamond anniversary the head of the family turned 86. The double celebration gathered the closest family around one table. The couple were congratulated at a bountiful table with the reading of thanksgiving prayers, wishing them health and well-being from the bottom of their hearts.
