From December 1 in Kazan the seasonal bus route No. 111S "Sportivnaya Station" – "Prospekt Pobedy metro station" will cease operation. Traditionally, dacha buses begin their services in spring and end their work in autumn. This year this period was from April 18 to November 1. However, due to prolonged warm weather and at the request of gardeners from SNT "Tankist", "Sodruzhestvo", "Gorizont" and others, the operation of this route was extended until December 1.
The Transport Committee noted that passenger traffic on the line has already decreased. The operation of the seasonal route is planned to resume next spring.
Recall that this season six seasonal gardeners' bus routes were organized: No. 39s "Veterinary Academy – residential area Stantsiya Derbeshki"; No. 41s "39th Quarter – SNT Krutushka"; No. 92s "KDK named after Lenin – 'Dalnie Sady'"; No. 101s "Gorkovskoye Highway – SNT Tekstilshchik"; No. 109s "Cafe 'Polet' – SNT Zarechye"; No. 111s "Prospekt Pobedy metro station – Zhirkombinat."
During the dacha period public transport was used by 673.9 thousand passengers. This is 1.6% less than for the same period last year.
