The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has set the date when it will present to Vladimir Putin the projects for the construction of high-speed rail corridors in the country. This will happen in March 2026.
One of the routes will be a high-speed line from Moscow to Kazan. There had previously been rumors that the project might not be realized. However, during the direct line, Putin stated that high-speed rail service between Moscow and Kazan will be implemented.
It should be noted that Russia has planned large-scale construction of railway lines for trains running at speeds of 200 to 400 kilometers per hour. In total, about 4,500 kilometers of track are planned to be built. 300 trains will operate on them.
