      The family of 51-year-old Olga Gardikhanova from Tatarstan, who is in critical condition in an Egyptian hospital, has appealed to the authorities and diplomatic agencies for assistance in her medical evacuation back to her homeland. This was reported by RIA Novosti. According to the victim's son, Ruslan Gardikhanov, the cost of services from private companies reaches 13.5 million rubles. The elementary school teacher from the village of Alekseevskoye suffered a massive stroke on January 4 directly at Sharm El Sheikh airport immediately after arriving for vacation. After a cardiac arrest and resuscitation efforts, the woman was taken to the international hospital in the resort city, where she was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage. Currently, the patient remains in intensive care under constant medical supervision. On January 12, doctors performed a nine-hour surgery to remove the hematoma and install a drain to reduce intracranial pressure; however, Gardikhanova remains in a coma, and doctors refrain from making long-term predictions. The cost of staying in the intensive care unit is $2,000 to $2,500 per day for the family. According to international insurance rules, the standard coverage limit for those traveling abroad usually ranges from 30,000 to 50,000 euros, and, according to relatives, these funds will be exhausted soon. The insurance company has committed to notify the family when the financial limit is reached, after which all expenses will fall solely on the patient's relatives.
