A call for the withdrawal of American troops from Germany was made in the Bundestag.

      The statement is related to the introduction of tariffs by the USA against European countries. Bundestag member from the "Left Party" of Sahra Wagenknecht, Sevim Dagdelen, stated the need for the withdrawal of American troops and weapons from Germany. The reason for the statement was the introduction of tariffs by the USA against Germany and other European countries. Dagdelen emphasized that along with the troops, American atomic bombs stored in Büchel should also be withdrawn. She also opposed the planned deployment of American medium-range missiles, indicating that this would increase the security risk for Germany. It is known that there are two bases in Germany where nuclear weapons are stored, one of which is the Ramstein Air Base. Earlier, the head of the German Institute for Economic Research, Marcel Fratzscher, expressed the opinion that the threats from American leader Donald Trump to impose tariffs due to the situation around Greenland demonstrate Europe's weakness. Fratzscher believes that the USA will continue to exert pressure on European countries until they show firmness.
