In Naberezhnye Chelny, an individual entrepreneur has been held accountable for selling tobacco products in close proximity to an educational institution. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Tatarstan. The violation was identified during an inspection of compliance with legislation in the field of trade. As established by the supervisory authorities, retail sales of cigarettes were carried out in one of the "Avocado" stores in the city. It turned out that the retail point is located less than a hundred meters from the educational organization, which is a direct violation of the current legislation. In connection with the identified violation, the prosecutor's office initiated an administrative offense case against the store owner under part 1 of article 14.53 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for non-compliance with prohibitions in the field of retail trade in tobacco products. The agency reminds entrepreneurs and sellers that the sale of alcohol and tobacco in stores located less than a hundred meters from kindergartens and schools is illegal and entails administrative punishment. It was previously reported that the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Kazan conducted large-scale raids against illegal flower sellers, who occupied the roadway during the pre-holiday days. As a result of the inspection, more than 20 people were held administratively liable for organizing illegal flower trade and violating traffic rules.
