For the celebration of Victory Day, improvements and decorations of the streets are planned in Kazan, as well as the introduction of temporary restrictions on public transport movement.
Kazan is considering the possibility of holding a festive fireworks display in honor of the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The relevant point is included in the draft document on the preparation and conduct of events on May 9, which is currently undergoing an anti-corruption examination. According to the published event plan, preparations for the celebration will include traditional improvements and festive decorations of the city streets. During the celebrations, temporary restrictions on public transport movement are planned. Special attention in the document is given to measures to ensure safety during mass events. According to the document, the program will also include solemn ceremonies of laying flowers at monuments and obelisks dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War. A separate item in the plan is the "Immortal Regiment" march, but the format of its conduct – in-person or online – has not yet been specified. In addition, medical examinations for disabled veterans and war participants, the maintenance of military burials, and charitable actions to assist veterans are planned. It was previously reported that the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan has entered the list of the most popular destinations for travelers in spring with a budget of up to 100,000 rubles. According to experts, excursion tours to Kazan for two, including flights and hotel accommodation, start from 48,900 rubles. This, as experts note, makes the city an attractive alternative to popular southern resorts.
