"Digital Literacy" at the library: schoolchildren were told about online safety

      Young readers of the district children's library joined the All-Russian educational project. How to avoid falling for scammers' tricks, protect personal data, and feel confident online - this was discussed in simple and understandable language with elementary school students during the informational hour "Digital Literacy." The event took place as part of a large federal campaign that will last until May 3, 2026. Throughout Russia, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the autonomous non-profit organization "Digital Economy," as well as key players in the domestic IT industry, the educational project "Digital Literacy" is being implemented. Its goal is to teach children and adults how to use modern technologies competently and safely. On April 17, the District Children's Library took up the baton of enlightenment. An informational hour with the telling title "Digital Literacy" was organized for elementary school students here. The librarian explained to the children in an accessible way what threats they might face on the World Wide Web and how to build reliable personal protection when communicating online. The highlight of the meeting was the viewing of a bright and informative video on digital literacy. Under the unusual title "Harmful Advice on Digital Security," the authors conveyed to the young viewers the key rules of cybersecurity in an engaging, almost game-like manner - the very rules that will help them avoid becoming victims of online criminals.
