About 100 companies from Russia and abroad will showcase their products at the fair during the "KazanForum".

      On May 13, in Kazan, as part of the XVII International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum," the opening of the international trade fair Kazan Halal Market will take place – the largest halal platform in Russia. The event will be held at the Kazan Agro-Industrial Park and will bring together about 100 companies from Russia and foreign countries. Participants of the fair will include producers from Afghanistan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, India, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan, as well as leading Russian enterprises. Visitors will be presented with a wide range of halal products: food, confectionery, clothing, cosmetics, accessories, and everyday goods. The organizers note that all presented products will undergo mandatory checks for compliance with "Halal" standards. Before the opening, specialists conducted an audit of raw materials, products, premises, and equipment. During the fair, the Agro-Industrial Park will be completely cleared of non-halal products. The halal industry market in Tatarstan continues to demonstrate steady growth. By the end of 2025, the volume of halal product production in the republic reached 354.4 thousand tons, amounting to 149.1 billion rubles. The export of "Halal" standard products reached $45 million, increasing by 3.2% compared to the previous year. In just the first four months of 2026, exports exceeded $16.5 million. The main supplies consist of dairy, meat, and confectionery products. Key importers of Tatarstan's halal products include CIS countries, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Mongolia, and Brazil. At the same time, the republic notes a growing interest from Southeast Asian and North African countries. Today, Tatarstan is one of the leaders in the halal industry in Russia. The republic has formed a stable sector of producers working in the segments of meat and dairy products, confectionery, semi-finished products, beverages, and processing. The official opening of Kazan Halal Market will take place on May 13 at 10:00 with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Secretary-General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Development Youssef Hassan Khalawi, along with other honored guests of the "KazanForum." "Kazan Halal Market traditionally ranks among the most visited venues of KazanForum and reflects the growing role of Tatarstan as a center for the development of the halal industry and international trade with Islamic countries," said Taliya Minullina, head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan and a member of the federal organizing committee of the forum.
