A 75-year-old resident of Kazan was injured in a fire that occurred due to an overheated television. The incident took place in house No. 87 on Vostaniya Street. As reported to Tatar-inform by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, the fire occurred in a two-room apartment on the fourth floor: furniture and items in the kitchen were burning. Firefighters who arrived at the scene rescued a 48-year-old man and a 75-year-old woman from the burning apartment via the stairwell. The man was unharmed, while the woman was taken to the Republican Clinical Hospital with burns to her upper respiratory tract and poisoning from combustion products. The area of the fire was 4 square meters. The preliminary cause of the incident is a violation of the rules for the installation and operation of electrical equipment (LCD television).
