Up to 70,000 people are expected at the All-Russian Rural Sabantuy in the Penza region.

      The festive events will start on June 27 at 10:00 AM. This upcoming Saturday, June 27, a large-scale event will take place in the village of Maly Truev (Kuznetsky District) in the Penza region — the XVI All-Russian Rural Sabantuy. The organizers expect to welcome up to 70,000 people at the national holiday — guests are expected from about fifty regions of Russia. The Chairman of the National Council "Milli Shura" at the World Congress of Tatars, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Vasily Shaykhraziev personally invited compatriots to the celebration, emphasizing that Sabantuy is rightly considered a common holiday for all peoples. He expressed confidence that the event will gather not only residents of the Penza region but also representatives from many neighboring territories. The organizers have prepared a rich program. The best creative forces of the Republic of Tatarstan will perform on stage: the State Chamber Choir of RT, the Kazan Dance Ensemble, the Miridans Folk Dance Ensemble, the Tatarstan Dance Ensemble, the State Song and Dance Ensemble "Agidel," the State Song and Dance Ensemble of RT, and others. For guests, ten thematic national courtyards will be arranged, a crafts exhibition-fair will be held, and tastings of authentic Tatar delicacies will take place. In addition, the program includes demonstrations of military and agricultural machinery, a festival of interethnic cultures "In the Round Dance of Folk Traditions," a separate children's area "Sabantuy," competitions in national wrestling kuresh, horse racing, arm wrestling, tug-of-war, sack races, climbing a vertical pole, and many other activities. Special emphasis is placed on the courtyard of the Kukmor District of Tatarstan — here, especially many interactive activities are promised. The culinary highlight of the holiday will be an attempt to set a gastronomic record: the organizers plan to prepare 1,000 kilograms of Tatar azu.

      The festive events will start on June 27 at 10:00 AM. It is worth noting that nearby, in the village of Tatar Kanadey (also Kuznetsky District), the famous Tatar writer Adel Kutuy was born — this gives the venue special cultural significance.
