       In Kazan, during the three days of the Russia – ASEAN summit, almost three hundred scooters were evacuated to curb traffic violations, illegal movement, and parking.

       Over the three days of the anniversary summit held in the capital of Tatarstan from June 17 to 19, employees of the Kazan State Traffic Inspectorate evacuated 271 individual mobility devices left with gross parking violations to specially guarded parking lots. As reported on Tuesday by the city traffic police press service, these measures were taken to prevent traffic rule violations and to combat illegal movement and chaotic parking of scooters on sidewalks and lawns in event areas. The statement clarified that of the total number of seized IMDs, the overwhelming majority—248 units—belonged to the company Whoosh, while the remaining 27 scooters were accounted for by the kick-sharing service Urent. The traffic police emphasized that the joint work with the Kazan executive committee to monitor compliance with traffic rules and the proper placement of rented equipment on the city streets continues as planned. Since the beginning of the season, a total of 429 electric scooters and 17 bicycles have already been evacuated in the capital of the republic. Corresponding measures are being taken against the backdrop of strict rental zone restrictions currently in effect in Kazan. It is worth noting that the summit in Kazan—the fifth of its kind and the first held in Russia—was an important milestone in strengthening political, economic, and cultural cooperation between Moscow and the countries of the region. During the summit, the parties signed a number of key documents on strategic partnership, and Russian President Vladimir Putin held a marathon of bilateral meetings.
