The all-Russian competition for children's questions to the head of the Ministry of Construction continues.
Winners will be invited to a celebration dedicated to the Builder's Day in 2026. Russian schoolchildren aged 6 to 17 now have the opportunity to ask their questions about construction and the housing and communal services sector to the top officials of the ministry. The country has begun accepting entries for the "#AskTheBuilder" competition, where participants can receive answers directly from the Minister of Construction of Russia, Irek Faizullin, and the Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, Sergey Stepashin. This initiative is being implemented as part of the educational project "I am the Builder of the Future!" and is a part of the activities plan for the Decade of Childhood. The competition program is aimed at fostering interest among the younger generation in creative professions and urban environments. Organizers are accepting applications from children in three age groups: from 6 to 9 years, from 10 to 14 years, and from 15 to 17 years. To express themselves, participants need to prepare a text or video question corresponding to one of three thematic nominations: Original text question; Best video with a question; Most interesting question about the history of construction. Each applicant can submit up to three works in each category. Applications are accepted on the official project website until July 16, 2026. The outcome of the competition will be the honoring of the authors of the best questions: winners will be invited to a celebration dedicated to the Builder's Day in 2026. This competition is a unique opportunity for children not only to express curiosity but also to peek "behind the scenes" of large infrastructure projects that are changing the appearance of Russian cities.
