      Today at Kazan Federal University, educational training sessions and the opening of the photo exhibition "NOT a Child's Secret" are taking place, organized by the Republican Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases in collaboration with the Svetlana Izambaeva Foundation "NOT SCARY". The events aim to raise students' awareness about HIV infection, prevent risky behavior, and reduce stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV. The photo exhibition "NOT a Child's Secret" is dedicated to adolescents living with HIV. Through visual images and personal stories, the project raises important topics: the fear of disclosing a diagnosis, loneliness, the pressure of stereotypes, and the right of every child and adolescent to support, acceptance, and a safe environment. The goal of the exhibition and training sessions is to discuss HIV in a modern, understandable, and respectful language, dispel myths, overcome ignorance, and foster a responsible attitude towards one's health. The organizers emphasize that today HIV infection is a manageable chronic disease, and timely diagnosis, treatment, and prevention allow a person to live a full life. However, one of the main problems remains the stigma, which makes people afraid to seek help, get tested, and talk about their condition.

      The exhibition and educational events at KFU help students not only obtain reliable information about HIV but also see the person behind the diagnosis — with their feelings, history, and right to respect.
