The Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Control, Oleg Morozov, supported the initiatives of the local self-government (TOS) No. 2 "Watchmakers' Village" for the improvement of public spaces. Currently, the improvement of the park is underway with the 1,000,000 rubles allocated by the Council of Municipalities. The construction of the stage will allow for a large number of diverse events to be held in the park, thus giving it a "second life." The Watchmakers' Village is a historic microdistrict in Chistopol. The name is associated with the Chistopol Watch Factory, which produced the famous "Vostok" watches and was a city-forming enterprise. Today, "Watchmakers' Village" is developing as a local public space. The local self-government is actively working in the microdistrict. Regular cultural, educational, and enlightening meetings are held for local residents of all ages based on the self-government.
