      A three-story stone mansion at the intersection of Musa Jalil and Profsoyuznaya streets, where the classic of Tatar drama Karim Tinchurin lived from 1919 to 1937, is awaiting a large-scale restoration. The building, recognized as a cultural heritage site of federal significance, has formed its appearance over the XVIII–XX centuries. Over the years, the reconstruction of the house has been carried out by famous Kazan architects Pyatnitsky, Petondi, and Bolotov. The estate was successively owned by merchants Nikitin, Tikhonov, and then by the nobility Baratynsky. At different times, shops, a printing house, rental apartments, and during the Soviet period, communal apartments were located here. Restorers plan to return the building to its appearance from the late 19th century – this is when its architectural character was finally established. It is necessary to restore the lost elements of the facade, repair the roof, replace the plaster, and treat the walls with antiseptic. A brick wing, a porch, and historical entrance groups with a forged canopy will also be recreated. Ramps will be installed for visitors with limited mobility. Lost details will be restored based on analogs – for example, the design of the attic windows is oriented towards the neighboring Bachman house, also designed by Pyatnitsky.
