The Kazan Circus School celebrated its 30th anniversary with a grand show "Up".

      The Kazan Circus hosted the anniversary show "Up," dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the only Children's Circus School in Russia, which provides free training for young artists. The Minister of Culture of Tatarstan, Irada Ayupova, called the circus a unique entity, where besides the main arena, there is a "circus incubator" – a place where new heroes are nurtured. "Today is truly a remarkable day for our circus, for our flying saucer. The uniqueness of this building is also that, in addition to the main arena, there is another venue, a place where new heroes are grown. This program is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Most graduates continue their work in many circuses around the world," noted the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. More than 150 artists aged from six to 18 performed in the ring, all of whom are students of the school, said the circus director Elmira Bulatova to journalists. "The school has the most grand plans – we want to raise first-class artists from our students, so they can delight the audience and bring happiness. After all, there are 150 children, and it's not a fact that all will become artists, but our task is to ensure that good, kind, happy people come out of our school," Bulatova said. The general director of the Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Maxim Nikulin, also came to congratulate his colleagues. He highly praised the level of the Kazan school. "This is probably the most important thing in life – to teach other people, to give them a profession, to give them a start. You are the only ones in Russia, I believe you are the best and most significant," he emphasized.

      The school, opened in 1996, has produced artists who work in the best circuses in the world, including Cirque du Soleil. Its students have repeatedly become laureates of prestigious competitions, including in Monte Carlo.
